meet michelle Chaffardet
Hi, I’m Michelle, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Relationship Coach, licensed in Florida, Delaware, New Jersey, and Texas. Originally from Venezuela, I’m passionate about helping people build emotionally secure and fulfilling relationships through a culturally attuned and evidence-based approach.
I specialize in working with couples, individuals, and families, supporting them in improving communication, deepening emotional connection, and breaking unhealthy patterns that stand in the way of intimacy and growth. My work integrates the Gottman Method (Level 3), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR for trauma healing.
I earned my Master’s degree with honors from Carlos Albizu University in 2015, with dual training in Family Therapy and School Counseling, and have extensive experience working in both private practice and higher levels of care such as Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. These experiences have shaped my holistic perspective, addressing emotional, relational, and cultural dimensions of healing.
In addition to my clinical work, I am the host of the podcast Amor Crudo, where I share honest and educational conversations about love, relationships, and emotional growth in the Latin community. As a bilingual therapist (English & Spanish) and Certified Youth Mental Health Specialist, I’m dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for healing and transformation.
